The opening video of the anime gift

Before the opening song, there was this flashback for us to see about the two main characters when they are still children. The boy is Amaumi Haruhiko and the girl is Fukamine Riko. Riko is boarding a train and Haruhiko is crying. As the train started to move Haruhiko ran after it shouting Riko's name and Riko in tears saying farewell softly.

The opening song for this anime is called the Nijiiro Sentimental sing by Hashimoto Miyuki.

That flashback is actually a dream. Haruhiko wake up and got a shock when he saw Kirino, his childhood friend, is standing beside his bed. She actually wants Haruhiko to be the first person to see her in the new school uniform which she will be entering. It is the same school as Haruhiko is currently studying in.After some scene, Kirino want to cook breakfast for Haruhiko but somehow messed up. After that they went out of the house, Haruhiko saw a yellow hair girl wearing a 'witch hat sitting on a broom with a black bird'?? flying toward him. Within seconds, both crash together and with Haruhiko hanging tightly to the broom fly up the sky.After some embarrassing moments and 'pecking' by the bird, Haruhiko fell down and somehow a pillow appear and save Haruhiko. Then along the way to the school, Haruhiko and Kirino saw a rainbow in the sky. Haruhiko recalled that Narasakicho is a site-spot near the seashore. In this town, there are two mysterious phenomena. One of them is a rainbow over the town, it doesn’t disappear. Whenever one looks up, it is always there. The other one is a magic called “Gift”. It is a present that one can give the other only once. After recalling, they continue on their way, not to long after, they saw a girl with dark long hair tie together being blocked by three 'gangsters' but they are quickly being take care of by the unknown girl. They reached the school shortly after and Haruhiko was introduced to Kirino friend, Fujimiya Chisa. Haruhiko finds her familiar but she denied. It is the opening ceremony for the newscomers but something is wrong, after asking the council president, Haruhiko find out that a male student is trying to use gift this day and has cause a panic. In the the school compound, Haruhiko met his friend Maki and get more details of what is happening. After some events, the male student finally hand the gift to the girl he like. At the same time a pink-coloured hair girl arrived at the train section.

This is the ending song called the Kokoro Niji wo Kakete sing by Misato Fujiya.
